According to reports, Bey fans have ignited the latest possible development on a Jayoncé project nearing completion.
However, Beyoncé’s fan account (aptly named the Bey Hivé) has just teased possible song lyrics from the duo’s ‘joint album session’, making us all go into meltdown at the thought of a sequel to Lemonade and a joint venture by one of the music industry’s most successful hip hop pairing. Now, of course, a fan account usually isn’t the most reliable source of information but this Twitter account has always appeared to have direct access to Queen B’s team, teasing videos from never-before-heard singles from the singer and releasing exclusive updates about Beyoncé up-coming VMA performance. A few months ago, reports claimed the married couple’s surprise album had wrapped up and would premiere on Jay Z’s TIDAL streaming service.
Sources confirmed exclusively to Page Six that Jay and Bey’s surprise album is complete, and it will drop on his streaming service Tidal very soon. One source told us, “Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after ‘Lemonade.’ It’s more their style to respond through music.” (Page Six)
Last spring, intense gossip bubbled about the long-awaited rumored LP gearing up for release.
Long before there was Lemonade, Beyonce and Jay Z attempted to put out a joint album, sources tell Billboard, and the power couple still may see the project through in the near future. According to a source, Jay Z and Beyonce had “nearly finished” a record together but never quite did. “The label wouldn’t agree to the joint album,” says an insider of Beyonce’s longtime home at Columbia Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music. But a Sony source counters that claim, insisting that the company is “open to” partnering with the husband-and-wife team for such a project. (Billboard)
Back in May, buzz developed about a possible Jay Z solo album coming together.
Sean Carter, aka Jay-Z, is allegedly already at work on a new album, which explores his side of the marital schism Beyoncé’s Lemonade covered. This news, of course, is according to US Weekly, so until we hear it from Mr. Carter’s lips, we should probably take it with a pinch of lemon juice. (Ugh, sorry) Regardless of the validity in this claim, do we really need to hear Jay’s side? (PAPER Mag)
